Originally made to bring more warmth and domestic charm to a functional lighting fixture, especially in the workplace, Troag has now been completely redesigned in technical terms, to offer a new LED version. This implies remarkable reduction of energy consumption with respect to the previous model, combined with a vast series of new possibilities provided by electronics, from dimming to connection with the home automation system.

Troags design makes optimal use of light, beaming it downward to brighten tables or worktops in a uniform way. An opaque screen encloses the lower portion, concealing the technical parts and functioning as a diffuser, to guarantee comfortable, glare-proof lighting, with the possibility of positioning at different heights. The heat bending and 5-axis milling of the borders bring out the grain of the wood, with all its tactile qualities.

In Sweden, the trag is a wooden bowl with the form of a canoe, used to crush fruit. It is an object passed on from one generation to the next, much more than a simple domestic utensil. Troag applies this light, linear form to create a lamp whose high performance is matched by the refined elegance of wood.
