The Collection

Thick and cozy, our washable Dapple collection plays with diffuse dots in vibrant color palettes to create eye-catching movement. Each sphere in this collection is hand-drawn, giving shapes their organic and exuberant expression. Dapples ultra-soft pile is machine-tufted and its flexible rubberized backing makes it easy to fit into a washing machine, and gives it a good grip on your floor.

The Design

This collection is all about the dot! Our team was inspired by the imperfect nature of the circle and its presence throughout history and culture. Contrasting colors are used to delineate lines, angles, and shapes, creating patterns within each dotted piece. Smirrs dots form a meandering trail of warm earthy hues.

The Material

Unbelievably soft polyester is highly durable, OEKO-TEX certified for safety, and mildew-resistant. These rugs are made with a latex backing that adds built-in traction and makes them highly flexible, so theyre easy to squish into your washing machine.

The Maker

Our partner in India has over 15 years of weaving expertise. Prioritizing sustainability, they operate in a USGBC LEED-certified facility and are OEKO-TEX certified, ensuring safety from yarn to rug.

The Designer

Our in-house, all-star design team collaborates across three different countries. Based in Los Angeles, Istanbul, and Mumbai, they put a lot of thought into each and every collection they design. Starting with the weave itself, they determine material and technique, then create moodboards to capture the look and feel before starting to design. When designs are finalized, they conduct an extensive sampling process, perfecting each style and color before it goes to production.

• When it’s time for a deeper clean, machine wash your rug with like colors on delicate with 1 TBSP of gentle detergent. Line dry afterwards.
• For sizes 5×8 and above, we recommend using a 60-lb (8cu ft) commercial washing machine, and for 8×10 we recommend an 80-lb (11.5cu ft) commercial washing machine (the large kinds you find at a laundromat) rather than a home washing machine, which is usually 20-25 lb (4cu ft). Please call your local laundromat ahead of time to determine if the right washer size is available.
• For sizes 9′ x 12′ and above, spot or dry clean.
• Be sure to wash rugs according to their recommended washing machine size capacity. Please note: failure to adhere to size recommendations could result in damage to your machine.
• If your rug is heavily soiled, or if it’s tough to find a laundromat, dry cleaning is recommended
• A slight shrinkage of up to 2% can be expected for all washable rugs
• Vacuum on low power with a non-rotary (no spinning brush) vacuum or suction attachment only.
• As with most rugs, some light shedding, matting, and fiber or thread breakage may occur over time. For high traffic areas, these effects may occur more quickly and easily.
• Spot cleaning instructions:
• Lightly dampen a paper towel or cloth with clean water
• Gently blot the affected area with your damp towel or cloth to dilute the stain
• If the stain persists, try using an unscented, citrus-free, clear soap to avoid bleaching the textile.
• Repeat this process until the stain is removed
