Visionary Flower Power design, contemporary lighting today

The Flowerpot pendant lamps, designed in 1968, are obviously by Verner Panton. Futuristic, avant-garde, design lighting that was very progressive on the one hand, but also clearly bears the stamp of its time. Influenced by the Flower Power movement, visionary designers like Verner Panton were given room to break with traditional design and innovative ideas were warmly welcomed.

Since the Flowerpot pendant lamps’ design fit perfectly into today’s interiors, &Tradition reintroduced this collection of lighting. They added some new colors and finishes as a tribute to Verner Panton, who also always sought innovation in all his designs. This ensures that the Flowerpot pendant lights will come into their own in a variety of interiors, from black industrial to Scandinavian style.

The Flowerpot VP7 pendant lamp has a soothing and harmonious shape, thanks to the mathematical precision of its design. The size of the lower shade is exactly half the size of the upper shade, resulting in a balanced composition. The opposite positioning of the lampshades ensures that the light does not shine directly downwards, but is gently reflected on the inside, spreading atmospherically and pleasantly.

The Flowerpot VP7 pendant lamp is the medium version in the collection and has a diameter of 37cm. This pendant lamp can be used for many applications, alone or in a row over a dining table or kitchen island, in the living room, as desk lighting or in the hallway. If you have a large space, you could even combine the 3 Flowerpot pendant lamps into a cluster.

The deep-drawn metal of the lampshades is glossy or matt lacquered. For the Flowerpot VP7, you can choose from glossy fresh colors, shiny metallic or matt neutral colors. For a nice finish, the 3m long cable has the same color as the lampshade. The ceiling cap is black for the black version, for all other colors it is white. The lamp is not included, we recommend an E27 max 100-watt light source for this.
