The Collection
Triplo Strato gets its name from Ferrari’s unique triple-layer paint application and its racing stripe motif. These soft and luxurious wool rugs are hand-loomed in a monochromatic palette that’s inspired by Agnes Martin’s grids and Ellsworth Kelly’s color blocking.
The Design
Sporty and sophisticated, Triplo Strato features a bold stripe racing through the center. Its ground is composed of a grid made by solid and hatched lines which add depth and movement.
The Material
Cut-pile rugs with a soft, satisfying footfall and pleasing weight, Triplo Strato’s weft is made using wool from the Sarda sheep of the island of Sardinia, which is windswept and briny. This sturdy, wiry, and waterproof wool yarn is visible in the horizontal flatweave. A premium blend of soft Indian and New Zealand wool is woven throughout, and is hand-loomed onto a cotton foundation for added durability.
The Maker
Our partner is a third-generation family-run weaving house in Bhadohi, India. They specialize in plush pile rugs, and their immense knowledge helped us improve construction for durability and less shedding. Their values are twofold: creating the highest-quality product and taking care of their team, supporting their weavers in whatever they need.
The Designer
Our in-house, all-star design team collaborates across three different countries. Based in Los Angeles, Istanbul, and Mumbai, they put a lot of thought into each and every collection they design. Starting with the weave itself, they determine material and technique, then create moodboards to capture the look and feel before starting to design. When designs are finalized, they conduct an extensive sampling process, perfecting each style and color before it goes to production.
